About Us

CARBON AWARE PEOPLE is the not so little sister of Carbon Aware Productions (CAP) – brainchild of Algy Sloane, launched in 2009 as the green conscience of locations company Scout Productions.

With decades in the production world, Algy and partner Jacky set out to make sustainability simple for industry members while helping support British planting projects along the way.

​

Drawing on Jacky's experience producing environmental documentaries including the BBC's Hugh & the Ivory War and War on Plastic with Hugh & Anita, Carbon Aware People takes that mission further, cranking open the door for individuals and communities to get involved too.

Today, both CAP and CAPeople are run by a Somerset-based team led by Jacky. Both Algy & Jacky have spent years living and working abroad in Kenya and Sri Lanka which has shaped their practical, global perspective on environmental action. Backed by trusted ecologists and land managers, they know how to handle carbon funding responsibly and relish the simple joy of linking funders with their planting projects.
