Keep an eye on this page if you’d like to enjoy some of the real-world perks of being a Carbon Aware member. From woodland walks and habitat surveys to casual meet-ups with planting partners over a pint, we’ll post invitations here whenever opportunities arise.
We’re based in the West Country, so apologies if events are a little south west heavy for now. We’ll head further afield as the community grows. Some events will have costs depending on venues, specialist guides, etc.
We’ll post invitations both here and on the CAP Conch. Places will usually go on a first come, first served basis, so move quickly if something catches your eye.
Somerset Dormouse Survey
This September 2026, we’ve got five member spaces up for grabs for a spectacular morning of citizen ecology at Ham Hill Country Park in Somerset. Join us as we head into the woodland with expert surveyors to track one of Britain’s most elusive little mammals — the hazel dormouse.
Expect fresh air, beautiful countryside, conservation chat, and the rare chance to get hands-on with a real ecological survey. Tiny noses, curled tails, serious levels of woodland charm.To Join simply start your membership by clicking here and then drop us a line.
